About the Journal
Justitia Nova: Indonesian Journal of Modern Law (e-ISSN: 3109-3469) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Institut Miftahul Huda Al Azhar Kota Banjar, Indonesia. Established in June 2025, the journal serves as an academic platform for the dissemination of high-quality legal scholarship that addresses contemporary legal issues from national, regional, and global perspectives.
The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, conceptual papers, and case analyses covering a broad range of legal disciplines. It encourages innovative, interdisciplinary, and comparative legal research that contributes to the development of law, justice, governance, public policy, and sustainable legal reform.
Justitia Nova welcomes contributions from academics, researchers, legal practitioners, judges, policymakers, doctoral candidates, and postgraduate students whose work advances legal knowledge through doctrinal, empirical, comparative, and socio-legal approaches.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment, similarity screening, and a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process conducted by independent experts. Editorial decisions are based exclusively on academic merit, originality, methodological soundness, legal significance, and relevance to the journal's aims and scope. The journal adheres to internationally recognized standards of publication ethics and follows the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
As a Fully Open Access journal, Justitia Nova provides immediate and unrestricted online access to all published articles without subscription or registration fees. This policy promotes the global dissemination of legal scholarship, encourages academic collaboration, and increases the visibility and impact of published research.
The journal is published biannually, with issues released in June and December. All published articles are assigned a permanent online record and preserved through the journal's digital archiving system to ensure long-term accessibility and scholarly preservation.
