Advertising Policy

Justitia Nova: Indonesian Journal of Modern Law is committed to maintaining editorial independence, transparency, academic integrity, and responsible scholarly communication in all aspects of its publishing activities. The journal currently does not accept or display commercial advertisements on its official website, within published articles, in journal issues, or through other journal-related platforms. The absence of commercial advertising is intended to ensure that the journal's scholarly communication remains focused on the dissemination of research and is not influenced by commercial interests.

All editorial and publication decisions are made independently of commercial considerations. Decisions concerning manuscript screening, peer review, revision, acceptance, rejection, publication scheduling, and other editorial matters are based exclusively on academic quality, originality, methodological rigor, scholarly contribution, legal relevance, conformity with the journal's aims and scope, and compliance with applicable publication ethics. Advertising, sponsorship, financial interests, institutional relationships, or other external commercial considerations shall not influence editorial judgments or the treatment of authors and manuscripts.

The journal maintains a clear distinction between editorial functions and any external promotional or commercial activities. Editorial content, peer-review processes, research publications, and scholarly communications are managed independently by the Editorial Board and relevant journal personnel. No commercial entity, advertiser, sponsor, or external organization shall have authority to influence the selection, modification, evaluation, interpretation, or publication of scholarly content.

If Justitia Nova introduces advertising activities in the future, such activities will be governed by principles of transparency, appropriateness, editorial independence, and academic integrity. Any advertisement will be clearly distinguishable from editorial and scholarly content and will not be presented in a manner that could reasonably be interpreted as an endorsement by the journal or its editors. Acceptance of an advertisement will not provide the advertiser with any influence over manuscript evaluation, peer review, editorial decisions, publication priority, or the content of published articles.

Future advertising arrangements, if introduced, will also be subject to appropriate institutional and ethical review. The journal reserves the right to refuse or remove advertisements that are misleading, deceptive, discriminatory, inappropriate for an academic environment, inconsistent with the journal's scholarly mission, or potentially harmful to the journal's reputation and independence. The acceptance of advertising will not be conditional upon the submission, acceptance, citation, or publication of any manuscript, nor will advertising payments provide any preferential editorial treatment.

The journal further recognizes that advertising may create actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest. Accordingly, any future advertising activity will be managed separately from editorial decision-making and will not be used as a mechanism for generating pressure on editors, reviewers, or authors. Where necessary, the journal will disclose relevant advertising arrangements to maintain transparency with readers and the scholarly community.

Through this policy, Justitia Nova: Indonesian Journal of Modern Law affirms that commercial interests shall remain separate from scholarly judgment. Whether or not the journal engages in advertising in the future, its commitment to editorial independence, research integrity, transparency, fairness, and responsible scholarly publishing shall remain unchanged. The primary purpose of the journal is the dissemination of high-quality legal scholarship, and no commercial consideration shall compromise that purpose.
