Al-Tijarah: Journal of Islamic Economics, Finance and Business is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by the Department of Islamic Economics, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Institut Miftahul Huda Al Azhar Kota Banjar, Indonesia. The journal serves as an academic platform for the dissemination of high-quality research in Islamic economics, Islamic finance, business, halal industry, zakat, waqf, Islamic public policy, and other related interdisciplinary fields.

The journal was established to promote scholarly dialogue and encourage innovative research addressing contemporary economic, financial, and business challenges from Islamic perspectives. Al-Tijarah welcomes contributions from researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide and is committed to advancing internationally relevant scholarship.

The electronic International Standard Serial Number (e-ISSN 3109-1709) was officially assigned by the National ISSN Centre of Indonesia (Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional – BRIN). In accordance with the ISSN assignment, the title Al-Tijarah: Journal of Islamic Economics, Finance and Business has been officially used beginning with Volume 1, Number 2 (June 2025).

Since its establishment, the journal has continuously strengthened its editorial management by implementing internationally recognized publishing standards. Al-Tijarah applies a double-blind peer-review process, adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) principles, provides immediate Open Access to all published articles, distributes content under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, assigns persistent Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Zenodo, and ensures long-term digital preservation through trusted archiving services.

The journal also emphasizes international collaboration by involving editors, reviewers, and authors from diverse countries and academic institutions. Through continuous improvement in editorial quality, publication ethics, research visibility, and international cooperation, Al-Tijarah aspires to become a reputable scholarly journal in the fields of Islamic economics, finance, and business.


Journal Milestones

2024 Establishment of the journal, development of editorial policies, and preparation of the online journal management system.
2025 Official publication of the inaugural volume and implementation of international editorial standards.
June 2025 Assignment of e-ISSN 3109-1709 by the National ISSN Centre of Indonesia (BRIN). The journal officially adopted the title Al-Tijarah: Journal of Islamic Economics, Finance and Business, effective from Volume 1, Number 2.
2025–Present Continuous enhancement of editorial quality, international collaboration, digital preservation through Zenodo, and expansion of indexing and abstracting services.
