Author Guidelines
Al-Tijarah: Journal of Islamic Economics, Finance and Business welcomes original scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in Islamic economics, finance, business, and related interdisciplinary fields. Authors are required to follow the journal's submission guidelines to ensure a smooth editorial and peer-review process.
All submitted manuscripts must comply with the following requirements:
1. Manuscript Originality and Submission Requirements
Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts:

Present original research and have not been previously published;

Are not under consideration for publication in another journal;
-
Do not contain plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices;
-
Have been approved by all authors before submission;
-
Follow responsible authorship principles.
The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the editorial office throughout the submission and review process.
2. Language Requirements
Manuscripts submitted to Al-Tijarah must be written in English.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript uses clear academic language, proper grammar, and appropriate terminology. Authors are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally proofread before submission.
3. Types of Manuscripts
Al-Tijarah accepts the following types of manuscripts:
a. Original Research Articles
Articles presenting new findings based on empirical research, conceptual analysis, or theoretical development.
b. Review Articles
Articles providing comprehensive reviews, critical discussions, or systematic analyses of existing literature.
c. Conceptual Articles
Articles developing theoretical frameworks, models, or new perspectives related to Islamic economics, finance, and business.
d. Case Studies
Articles presenting detailed analyses of specific practices, institutions, policies, or phenomena relevant to the journal scope.
4. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should generally contain the following sections:

Acknowledgment (if applicable)

The structure may be adjusted according to the nature of the manuscript.
5. Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should:

Clearly describe the research background, objectives, methods, main findings, and conclusions;

Be written in English;
-
Contain approximately 150–250 words.
Authors should provide 3–6 keywords that represent the main concepts of the article.
6. Formatting and Template
Authors must prepare manuscripts according to the official Al-Tijarah Article Template.
General formatting requirements:

File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx);

Font and layout follow the journal template;
-
Tables and figures must be clearly presented and numbered;
-
Equations, if any, should be properly formatted.
7. Citation and Reference Style
Al-Tijarah uses the APA 7th Edition referencing style.
Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant scholarly references, particularly articles published in reputable international journals.
The reference list should primarily consist of academic sources such as:

Research reports;

Official institutional publications.
Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
8. Research Ethics and Integrity
Authors must comply with ethical research standards, including:

Proper acknowledgment of sources;

Accurate presentation of research data;

Disclosure of conflicts of interest;

Ethical treatment of research subjects when applicable.
If research involves human participants, authors must ensure compliance with relevant ethical standards.
9. Authorship Policy
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to:

Data collection and analysis;

Manuscript preparation and revision.
All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before publication.
10. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Disclosure
Authors may use artificial intelligence tools as supporting instruments for language improvement, formatting, or research assistance.
However, AI tools must not replace the authors' intellectual contribution, research responsibility, or scholarly judgment.
Any significant use of AI tools in manuscript preparation must be disclosed appropriately.
11. Article Processing Charge (APC)
Al-Tijarah: Journal of Islamic Economics, Finance and Business applies a free publication policy.
The journal does not charge:

12. Submission Process
Authors must submit manuscripts through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS):

13. Editorial and Review Process
All submitted manuscripts will undergo:

The Editor-in-Chief has the final authority regarding acceptance or rejection of manuscripts.
14. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright of their published work while granting Al-Tijarah the right of first publication.
Published articles are distributed under the journal's applicable Creative Commons license.

Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned to authors before entering the peer-review process.
