Nahdlatul Fikr: International Journal of Islamic Studies, Education, and Humanities is a peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality scholarly work across the disciplines of Islamic Studies, Education, and the Humanities. Established with Volume 1, Issue 1 in December 2024, this journal is published three times a year (in December, April, and August) by the Institute for Research and Community Service, Institut Miftahul Huda Al Azhar (IMA), Kota Banjar, West Java, Indonesia.

This journal provides an academic platform for researchers, scholars, and practitioners to present new findings, critical insights, and theoretical contributions relevant to Islam, education, society, and culture. With a strong commitment to academic integrity and excellence, Nahdlatul Fikr applies a rigorous editorial and peer-review process to ensure only original, high-quality manuscripts are accepted.

Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review involving at least two independent reviewers. Manuscripts are first screened by the editorial board for suitability and originality. The editorial team reserves the right to reject submissions not aligned with the journal’s scope or quality standards. The average review time ranges from 2 to 6 weeks.


Publication Frequency

The journal is published three times a year:

  • Vol. 1 No. 3 — August


Open Access Policy

Nahdlatul Fikr provides immediate open access to its content, ensuring that all articles are freely accessible to the public to support a greater global exchange of knowledge. Authors retain copyright and agree to distribute their work under a Creative Commons license.


Archiving and Indexing

The journal uses the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to ensure digital preservation. The editorial team is actively pursuing indexing in DOAJ, SINTA, Moraref, Google Scholar, and international indexing services such as Crossref and Scopus.

Nahdlatul Fikr Journal Article Template

This template provides the standard format for submitting manuscripts to Nahdlatul Fikr: International Journal of Islamic Studies, Education, and Humanities. Authors are requested to prepare their manuscripts following this template to ensure consistency and facilitate the review and publication process.

Key formatting guidelines:

  • Manuscript length: typically 5,000–8,000 words

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt, 1.0 line spacing

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Title: centered, bold, 14 pt

  • Author names and affiliations: below the title, centered

  • Abstract: maximum 250 words, with keywords

  • Headings: clearly defined using a consistent numbering system

  • References: formatted according to APA 7th edition style

  • Tables and figures: numbered and titled consecutively
