Corrections, Retractions & Withdrawals

Munakahat: Journal of Islamic Family Law is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. Corrections, retractions, and withdrawals are handled transparently and in accordance with the nature and seriousness of the identified issue.

Corrections may be issued when a published article contains an error that affects the accuracy or clarity of the article but does not invalidate its main findings or scholarly contribution. Where appropriate, the original article will remain accessible and a clear correction notice will be provided.

Retractions may be considered when a published article contains serious problems, such as major errors, unreliable findings, plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, or significant breaches of research or publication ethics. A retracted article and the reason for retraction will be clearly identified in the journal's publication record.

Withdrawals may occur before publication when a manuscript must be removed from the editorial process because of serious ethical, legal, technical, or other legitimate concerns. Authors requesting withdrawal after submission should provide a reasonable explanation to the editorial team.

All decisions concerning corrections, retractions, or withdrawals are made by the editorial team after appropriate assessment. The journal aims to protect the integrity of the scholarly record while ensuring fairness and confidentiality for all parties involved.
