Munakahat: Journal of Islamic Family Law welcomes original scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the study and development of Islamic family law and related contemporary socio-legal issues. Submissions may address, among others, marriage and divorce, inheritance, family governance, child and elderly protection, gender justice, comparative Islamic family law, maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, digital transformation, and interdisciplinary approaches to family law.
Manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously, and must not be under consideration by another journal. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their submissions and must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
Submitted manuscripts should follow the journal's Article Template and be written in clear academic English. Each manuscript should normally include a title, author information and affiliations, abstract, keywords, introduction, methodology or research approach, results and discussion, conclusion, and references, as appropriate to the type of research.
All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal's aims and scope and compliance with basic submission requirements. Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are subjected to double-blind peer review by qualified reviewers. Final publication decisions are made by the editorial team based on the quality, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, and scholarly contribution of the manuscript.
Authors should use appropriate and consistent scholarly references and ensure that all cited sources are accurately represented in the reference list. Where applicable, authors should provide sufficient information concerning research methods, data sources, ethical considerations, and research limitations.
