Reviewers of Munakahat: Journal of Islamic Family Law are expected to provide objective, constructive, confidential, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts.
Reviewers should assess the manuscript based on its originality, relevance to the journal's aims and scope, theoretical contribution, methodological rigor, quality of analysis, clarity of presentation, and adequacy of references. Reviewers should distinguish between major and minor issues and provide clear comments that can help authors improve their work.
Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and must not use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage. Manuscripts should not be shared with or discussed with others without permission from the editorial team.
Reviewers should disclose any potential conflict of interest before accepting an assignment. They should decline the review if they have a personal, professional, or academic relationship that could affect their impartiality.
Reviewers should not make recommendations based on the author's nationality, institutional affiliation, religion, gender, or other personal characteristics. Recommendations should be based solely on the scholarly quality and relevance of the manuscript.
Reviewers should also alert the editors to any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, significant ethical concerns, or substantial similarity to previously published work.
Reviewer recommendations may include accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. The final editorial decision remains the responsibility of the journal's editorial team.
