Munakahat: Journal of Islamic Family Law is committed to maintaining research integrity and ensuring that published research is conducted and reported honestly, transparently, and responsibly.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their research, including data, methods, analysis, results, and conclusions. Fabrication, falsification, manipulation of data, and misleading presentation of research findings are not acceptable.
Authors should provide sufficient information about their research methods and data sources to support transparency and, where appropriate, enable the research to be understood or independently assessed. Ethical approval and other relevant permissions should be obtained when required by the nature of the research.
Authors must properly acknowledge sources, contributions, funding, and other forms of research support. Any relevant conflict of interest must be disclosed.
Editors and reviewers are expected to protect the integrity of the editorial process, maintain confidentiality, and report suspected research or publication misconduct to the editorial team.
When concerns about research integrity arise, the journal may request clarification, supporting documentation, or additional information from the authors or relevant institutions. The journal may take appropriate editorial action, including correction, expression of concern, rejection, or retraction, depending on the circumstances.
All research integrity concerns are handled fairly and confidentially, with the aim of protecting the reliability of the scholarly record and maintaining the trust of authors, reviewers, readers, and the wider academic community.
