Munakahat: Journal of Islamic Family Law is committed to handling complaints and appeals fairly, transparently, and professionally.
Authors may submit a complaint or appeal concerning editorial decisions, peer-review procedures, publication processes, ethical matters, or other issues related to the journal. Complaints should be submitted to the editorial team through the official journal contact and should clearly explain the concern and provide relevant supporting information.
Appeals against editorial decisions should provide a clear academic or procedural justification. Appeals are reviewed independently by the editorial team and, where appropriate, may be referred to another qualified editor or academic adviser.
The journal does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, retaliation, or inappropriate interference in the editorial process. Complaints involving conflicts of interest or publication ethics will be handled confidentially and investigated appropriately.
The submission of a complaint or appeal does not guarantee that the original editorial decision will be changed. Final decisions will be based on academic standards, relevant evidence, and the journal's publication policies.
The journal aims to acknowledge and address complaints and appeals within a reasonable timeframe while maintaining confidentiality, editorial independence, and the integrity of the scholarly record.
