Munakahat: Journal of Islamic Family Law recognizes the appropriate use of artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies in research and academic writing while maintaining standards of originality, transparency, and research integrity.
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their manuscripts. AI tools must not be used to fabricate or falsify data, references, findings, citations, or other research content.
Authors may use AI-assisted tools for appropriate purposes such as language improvement, grammar correction, translation, or technical assistance. Where AI has made a substantive contribution to the preparation of a manuscript, its use should be transparently disclosed in the manuscript.
AI tools and AI systems cannot be listed as authors because they cannot take responsibility for the content, integrity, or publication of scholarly work.
Editors and reviewers must also protect confidential manuscript information and should not upload unpublished manuscripts or confidential materials to AI systems or other external tools that may compromise confidentiality.
The journal may request clarification regarding the use of AI when necessary to ensure compliance with publication ethics and research integrity.
